The Western Region has recorded 23 new cases of COVID-19 putting the total case count to 87 from the last count of 64.
So far, this is the highest infection case recorded in a day.
Per the key points released from the Ghana Health Service in the Western Region, 12 of these cases were recorded from the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis and 8 more recorded in Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality; bringing to total 34 and 27 positive cases respectively in the two areas.
The Prestea Huni Valley has recorded 2 more cases bringing its case count to 4. Effia Kwesimintsim Municipality has one new case making 5 in total.
There is one recovery and one death recorded in the Western Region.
