Kofi Kinaata hs become the first Ghanaian Artiste to win the ‘Songwriter of the year’ three times at the Ghana Music Awards. Before winning the 2020 edition of the ‘Songwriter of the year,’ Okyeame Kwame and Trigmatic had the same number of awards (2) with Kofi Kinaata.

The 2020 edition therefore seperated the boys from the men when Kofi Kinaata won for the third time.
