Tottenham Hotspur are looking to beat Manchester United to David Brooks’ signature, according to reports.
The Bournemouth midfielder has caught the eye in his first Premier League season, with speculation linking the Wales international to top-four moves.
The Cherries snapped up Brooks from Sheffield United for a mere £11.5 million in the summer but the 21-year-old has delivered a host of impressive displays to bely the slim transfer fee.

Brooks started his career at Manchester United
but failed to make the grade at the Etihad and moved on to Sheffield United at the age of 17.
The wide man almost joined Chesterfield, then of League Two, at the start of last season but his showings for Chris Wilder’s side – including a breathtaking performance at Hillsborough in the Steel City Derby – convinced Eddie Howe of Brooks’ Premier League credentials.
Brooks has made nine appearances for Wales, after representing England at under-20 level, and the mirror report that Mauricio Pochettino wants to lure the Warrington-born midfielder to North London.
