OFFICIAL: Prez. Akufo-Addo nominates these three as MMDCEs for Sekondi-Takoradi, Akwapim North and Amansie South

In a letter intercepted by www.233times.net, the President in accordance with article 243(1) of the 1992 constitution and section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, Act 936 has nominated the following as Metropolitan/Municipal/District Chief Executives (MMDCEs):
- Abdul-Mumin Issah – Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly
- Barima Awuah Sarpong Asiedu-Larbi – Akwapim North Municipal Assembly
- Clement Opoku Gyamfi – Amansie South District Assembly
The Regional Ministers have been directed to liaise with Regional Electoral Commission to conduct the confirmation process.
Per the constitution, the nominated names will need approval of not less than two-thirds majority of members of the Assembly present.
This confirms an earlier reportage of www.233times.net on August 3, 2020 that Mr. Abdul-Mumin Issah has been nominated by the President.
