Pastor Maxwell Attakorah, 44, was shot in the chest by people suspected to be robbers who broke into a house on Wednesday dawn.
The suspected robbers shot the deceased when he shouted for help after he saw them.
To prevent him from drawing attention to them, they shot him at close range killing him instantly before fleeing the scene.

Confirming the incident to Graphic Online the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mr Godwin Ahianyo, said the police had information around 2am on Wednesday that two robbers wielding a gun and a knife broke into a compound house at Kegyase near Santasi where they broke into the room of one female tenant and took away her mobile phone and GHc50.
He said during the act, the robbers gave a warning shot and this drew the attention of the deceased who came out to see what was happening.
He said when he saw the robbers, the deceased shouted for help and this infuriated the robbers who shot him at close range before running away into a nearby bush.
