4th edition of Western Music Awards dedicated to Ebo Coker

Organizers of Western Music Awards, Westline Entertainment have announced that this year’s edition of the awards is dedicated to the memory of James Ebo Coker, the founder of Western Diamonds Band.
Mr. Coker who will be one of the three to be honoured with a life time achievement award passed on to eternal glory this year. In his absence, his family will receive the flagship award on behalf of the man on whose shoulders Liveband Music had a breeding ground.
Mr. Coker is known for the establishment of the Westline Hotel and the Western Diamonds Band. The resident band of the hotel won the Ghana ECRAG Awards many times. The band toured U.S.A, Britain and countries across the world.
“It is unfortunate that Mr. Coker becomes the first life time achievement award recipient of Western Music Awards who couldn’t receive it in person but posthumously. Our CEO, Emmanuel Ampaabeng wrote down his name (after the first edition of the awards some three years ago) as someone we should consider honouring but it’s very unfortunate he’s not alive to receive this honour from a younger generation who were inspired by his works” Nana Kwesi Coomson, Public Relations Officer of Westline Entertainment said.
The fourth edition of Western Music Awards is slated for 26th September, 2020 at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi.
