Mahama explains why his wife is not seen campaigning with him

The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has revealed why his wife, Lordina Mahama is not seen on the campaign trail with him like yesteryears.

According to Ex President Mahama who spoke exclusively to Host of Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosiisen’ Philip Osei Bonsu (OB), “She (Lordina Mahama) was there when we launched the manifesto. Even though she’s not seen actively campaigning with me but she gives me support. She was a bit traumatized by the lies against her person during my tenure so she decided to take a back-row.”

Mr. Mahama further told OB “She has a foundation which adopted the Gambaga Witch Camp and takes care of orphanage homes. She’s still doing it.”

“Hopefully we will have female Vice President who will take care of issues of gender together with Minister of Gender so she (Lordina Mahama) can concentrate on her Foundation.”

The Former First Lady’s absence on the campaign trail raised eyebrows to the extent that the propaganda mill was filled with a lot of rumors especially when First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Second Lady Samira Bawumia are seen actively campaigning all over the country.
