NPP settles on wife of slain Mfantseman MP as successor

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has settled on the wife of the slain MP, Mrs. Ophelia Hayford, as his successor in the Mfantseman Constituency.

According to Philip Osei Bonsu, Host of the popular late afternoon socio-political show ‘Ekosii sen’ who put out the news, the party has sent a letter, yesterday, to the EC to invoke section 13(4) of CI 127 to allow a 10 day extension of the nomination period within which period the party will file her name.

She is an Assistant Superintendent of Police and has written to resign from the Ghana Police Service.
