Too Deep (TDIGG) set to release first album after decade of releasing first mixtape

Julian Baisie, a Contemporary Christian music artist popularly known as Too Deep or TDIGG (Too Deep in God’s Grace), who is also a Creative Entrepreneur, Global Citizen, Humanitarian, husband and a father, recently raised an issue of relevance during a live interview on the Jama Keche Show at ZTv, hosted by Frimpongmaa on Friday, 18th September, 2020.

During the interview, Too Deep revealed he has professionally been pursuing music since 2008. Back then, he was a member of a group called Street Disciples / GUD Music, of which he was also the leader. As a group, Street Disciples launched their album titled ‘Time Is Up’ in the year 2012, which made an impact locally and internationally. Shortly after that, Too Deep had to leave for Canada to pursue his studies. From that point, they all somewhat grew apart, which culminated in an amicable dissolving of the group.

Third quarter of the year 2010, Too Deep released his first solo project which was a mixtape he titled ‘This Path I Chose’ (the opening chapter of his musical journey) as a solo artist.

The body of work was undoubtedly critically acclaimed and rated by many as an EP / album. In fact, his music followers wondered why he categorized it as a mere mixtape.

While pursuing his studies in Canada, he released few musical projects seldom, but couldn’t make time to promote them due to some major setbacks he encountered abroad.

During the same period of time, his mother’s health was deteriorating back home due to the failure of her kidneys. In that regard, Too Deep decided to forfeit his future plans of living abroad and returned home to spend quality time with his mother as he was afraid he may not have got that chance to see her before she was called to rest in glory. After returning to his motherland Ghana in the year 2017, he lost his mother in 2018. Before then, he got married to Florence and GOD blessed them with a lovely daughter after Too Deep’s mother passed away.

In 2019, Too Deep actively resurfaced on social media to announce the forthcoming release of his first major album titled ‘Through It All’ after all these years. Clearly, the title of the album is self explanatory and will entail his journey over the years.

He claims it will also be significant to the current times in which we are. Considering that Too Deep is an artist who puts his life on the line (tells the story of his life through his music) literally, the forthcoming album would be a significant and timeless body of work similar to his previous releases, as it’s been a decade since he released his first mixtape. There’s no shadow of doubt that the experiences he has acquired over the years have become an arsenal to fuel his content.

In creating awareness towards his pending album, Too Deep has recently been undertaking live interviews on TV and radio stations. During an interview at ZTv recently,  he saliently emphasized the importance of content pertaining to music. He mentioned that music is like a drug and music artists are the suppliers. Hence, the content churned out by artists could positively or negatively impact fiends (consumers) when they get hooked, considering that music is a window to the soul; which penetrates without one’s permission.

He also expounded on the need for artists to be very mindful of the examples they set through their music, as their born and unborn children will face the recompense in future. The music video for the title song of his pending album ‘Through It All’ featuring his music comrade Bubunaé (formerly known as X.E. Klaye) whom he crossed paths with in Canada through a mutual friend, was recently premiered live on HSTV, where he was interviewed and performed live as well.

He has also released an Official Video for an Exclusive Freestyle titled ‘Hindsight Freestyle’ which touches on current affairs, to promote his pending album. Furthermore, as a way of building up anticipation towards the pending album, Too Deep has been walking us through his journey with an Album Documentary which he has been releasing in Episodes; also available on his Youtube Channel.
