RTP CEO clashes with WRTP CEO over name of awards – Threatens legal action

Ultimate winner of WRTP drove home a car

Prince Mckay, CEO of Radio and Television Personality Awards (RTP) has cautioned Isaac Mensah aka Exone, organizer of Western Radio and Television Personality Awards (WRTP) to change the name of his awards with immediate effect or face legal action.

In a heated phone conversation between the two, Mckay who appeared angered by the name used by ExOne Entertainment demanded that the name of WRTP is changed or else it would be forwarded to his lawyers.

ExOne who could not stand the phone bully by Mckay called his bluff. ExOne clarified that his awards focus on regional radio and television personalities whilst Mckay focuses on national media personalities so there should not be any contention.

According to Mckay, he has trademarked RTP so no one can use it for commercial purposes.

The WRTP gained prominence when they gave all award recipients flatscreen TV and car to the ultimate winner during the second edition last Saturday 21st September, 2020.
