Multiple award winning Artiste and Ghana’s Songwriter of the year, Kofi Kinaata, real name Martin King Arthur yesterday Tuesday 22nd December, 2020 held a youth seminar in Takoradi to equip the youth with skills to be resilient in the pandemic era.
Hosted at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi, the seminar is part of his annual pre-concert events. Even though this year’s edition of Made in Taadi Concert was called off, the Artiste and his team held the seminar.
The topic for this year’s seminar was ‘Surviving the vicissitudes of COVID-19: The opportunities the pandemic present and dangers of irregular migration.’
Speakers at the second edition of the ‘Made in Taadi Youth Seminar’ include Justice Baidoo, a Senior Multimedia Journalist, Yaa Amoako Adu, CEO of Apave Ghana Inspection and Integrity International, Marian Ampon, General Manager of Anaji Choicemart, Lawyer Fiifi Buckman of Busumtwi Sam and Associates, Kwaku Twum Barimah, CEO of Amaanso Business Consult, Dr. Dominc Eduah, Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifa, Western Regional Director of National Service Scheme, Vincent Annan, CEO of Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Francis Atuahene, CEO of Atuahene Group of Companies and Kwame Adu Mante, CEO of Focus One Group of Companies.
The astute mentors after speaking on selected topics also gave an opportunity for the participants, both online and at the venue to ask questions.
International Organization for Migration (IOM) as well presented the dangers in travelling through irregular routes. Dreadful stories of returnees who used irregular means were shared in a documentary.
The seminar was streamed to over six hundred thousand audience on Facebook.
The seminar was organized by Team Move in collaboration with International Organization for Migration (IOM), European Union and GNPC Foundation.
