Residents of Western Region are yet to come to terms with the cancellation of this year’s edition of Kofi Kinaata’s annual ‘Made in Taadi Concert.’
One of the deeply hurt people who is yet to accept the grief is a Taxi Driver who revealed to his passengers how he acquired a smart phone and fridge from sales he made from last year’s ‘Made in Taadi Concert.’
According to the Taxi Driver, he palnned to acquire a 50 inch flat screen television this year from sales from the concert. So cancelling the concert has disturbed his plans of acquiring his dream television.
“I was able to work overnight; from Saturday to Sunday evening. I make fortunes from it. I am one of the people who have been very much worried from the cancellation” Kwabena Discipline, the Taxi Driver spoke directly to Kofi Kinaata in the video.
The Taxi Driver is not the only beneficiary of the concert, a popular Artiste in the region, Aya Ramzy B who sells noodles and spaghetti also shared how he makes triple sales during ‘Made in Taadi Concert.’
The economic impact of ‘Made in Taadi’ is felt heavily every year in the hospitality industries, transportation, media, tourism and creative arts sector in general.
