W/R: 2 Chinese arrested after military raid on illegal miners at Ateiko (PHOTOS)

Two Chinese illegal miners have been arrested at Ateiko close to Patachosu in the Wassa East District.
These Chinese illegal miners were 10 in number which 8 of them bolted after having an information about the military operation.

They have been handed over to the police and will be taken to Accra for further investigation and prosecution.

This comes after a special military operation began on Wednesday, April 28, to remove all persons and logistics involved in mining from Ghana’s water bodies.

This follows the directive of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
