67 apply for MMDCE positions in Western Region

A total of sixty seven (67) persons have applied for the job of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Western Region of Ghana.

Most of the incumbent MMDCEs reapplied for the position. Interestingly, the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly and Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly Mayors are contesting unopposed.

As sighted by www.233times.net, in districts like Amenfi East, ten people are contesting whilst nine are contesting in Amenfi Central.

Hon. Wilson Arthur, the incumbent DCE for Wassa East’s name is missing in the list. This confirms rumours that he is bowing out of politics.
