WR Minister woos US Ambassador

The Western Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Kwabena Okeyere Darko-Mensah has led a team of officials from the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) to woo the United States (US) Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Stephanie S. Sullivan and her economic team about investment opportunities in the region.

At her Accra Residence on Wednesday, May 25, 2021, the Western Regional Minister who is also the Member of Parliament for Takoradi Constituency did not only discuss with the US team investment opportunities in the Western Region but also invite them to the Ghana Mining Week.

According to Hon. Okyere Darko Mensah, the Ambassador who was impressed with his visit stated that “this is the first time a Regional Minister has come to market his/her Region to me and my team”.

The Regional Minister also used the opportunity to inform the Ambassador and her team about the various developmental projects which are advanced in the region, including Petroleum Hub, Financial Services Hub and the West Park agenda of the Region.
