‘House boy’ uses penis as feeding bottle for baby

The Social Welfare Director for Western Region, Jonathan Djan Gyau, speaking on child abuse in the region recounted on an incident where a ‘house boy’ used his penis as feeding bottle for a baby at his pleasure.

Speaking on the incident on Skyy Power 93.5FM, he explained that, a busy couple in Tamale always left their toddler in the care of a female house-help who sometimes had to leave the baby in the care of the ‘house boy’ when going to the market.

When going, he gives the ‘house-boy’ specific instructions concerning the feeding of the baby. He said, ” She will tell the boy where the baby’s food is kept and and how the baby is suppose to be fed”.

According to Mr. Gyau, There was a time the child got sick and was taken to the hospital, upon critical examination, the results proved the baby has being infected with a Sexually Transmitted Disease. The examination also revealed sperm deposits in the system of the baby.

Upon investigations, they realised the suspect uses his penis in place of the feeding bottle for the baby during feeding time.

He said, “When the baby is hungry, this boy will use his penis in place of the feeding bottle as the baby will also suck like a feeding bottle. When he cums, he deposits the sperms in the mouth of the baby as the baby will also swallow”.

He further indicated the suspect was arrested and jailed for his actions.

Speaking on the issues of child abuse in the home and school in the Western Region, the Regional Director revealed over 1,000 child abuse cases was reported at Social Welfare Office in the first quarter of 2021.

He will urge individuals and schools to hire professional caregivers to cater for their children in their absence as they have been trained and knows the consequences of abusing a child.

The Director made it known the Social Welfare as an institution has the capacity to train caregivers. They have a number of professional caregivers that are available to service homes and schools who are in need of professionals.

He will urge all institutions and individuals to insist their caregivers are well trained before they are given the mandate to look after children, because the untrained individuals are the reason for high rate in child abuse cases.
