Two students of Rev Cobbah Yalley Junior High School in Takoradi are under police investigations for assaulting the headmistress of the school, the Municipal Chief Executive for Effia-Kwesiminstim Municipal Assembly (EKMA), Mr. Kojo Acquah has revealed.

According to the EKMA Boss, the students who are currently under police investigation for assaulting their headteacher were under the influence of drugs.

He made it known, the abuse of drugs among youth have been a problem in the Municipality which he is working very hard to curb the situation.

Mr. Acquah explaining the ordeal revealed that one of the students proposed love to the Headmistress before the whole incident of assault begun.

The EKMA Boss says the Headmistress and Teachers of the school explaining the situation made it known they were very surprised with the behaviour and attitude of the students and believed they were under the influence of a substance.

However, Mr. Acquah indicated the police invited the parents of the students to dialogue on how best the situation can be handled since they were underage and under the influence of some hard drugs.

He believes intensive education will be needed for the students and youth in the community to let them know the implications of drug use and how bad it can affect their future.
