Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture and his deputy should think of legacy projects – Tic

Hiplife legend Tic, formerly known as Tic Tac has admonished the new Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Mohammed Awal and his deputy, Hon. Mark Okraku-Mantey to focus on legacy projects if they want to be remembered for a successful tenure.

Speaking to The Chronicle, Tic mentioned that “This is not the first time we’ve had representation from tourism, arts and culture to head the ministry but if you are really strong mentally and have Ghana at heart, we will see something better. Look at the mistakes of the past and avoid them.”

Real name Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah, Tic added that the sector is very big so “either way, once they (the Minister and his Deputy) do something positive to effect change, the specific part of the sector that they are focusing on will have rippling effect on the entire sector.”

“The Ministers should focus on legacy projects that will last for a long time and not short term projects. I think the issue has to do with tackling everything at a go. If they can be strong enough to tackle one project at a time to its completion and not be doing too many things at a time, they’ll be remembered for their legacy projects” Tic stated.

According to the ‘Kwani kwani’ crooner, the pair (Mohammed Awal and Okraku-Mantey) are solid but they can win the utmost trust of the industry players with their efforts and results.
