Following the releases of ‘Hindsight Freestyle’ and ‘7/12 Freestyle,’ for the third time, the unwonted self-taught writer and rapper has released another freestyle titled ‘Ghana Choke.’ This time, Too Deep (also known as TDIGG); the urban / contemporary Music Artist who hails from Ghana, West Africa, zeroes in on pertinent matters specifically in his motherland Ghana.
To communicate effectively and for the track to resonate with people, he inculcates more of the local dialect as well as Pidgin (Sub-standard English / Broken English), which the masses are more familiar with. According to Too Deep, although the release of his pending album ‘Through It All’ is almost due, he deems it expedient to address the state of the nation.
Indeed, Too Deep actively affirms his prolific artistry and versatility as inspired by a quote from one of his inspirations – the late legendary songstress Eunice Waymon (famously known as Nina Simone) who once said and asked rhetorically during an interview while in her prime, ‘I choose to reflect the times and the situations in which I find myself. That to me is my duty. At this crucial time of our lives, when everyone is so desperate, when everyday is a matter of survival, I don’t think one can help but be involved. How can you be an Artisteand not reflect the times?’
With the economic inflations and the increase in crime rate, serious concerns have been raised as citizens are beginning to question the security of the nation at large. Some innocent civilians and news organizations have lost their lives and are being warned respectively for participating in activism for the revolutionary cause #FixTheCountry.
Too Deep is active on all social media platforms with the name ‘DeepThesis.’
