After securing bail from the court, embattled Dancehall Artiste Shatta Wale, together with Medikal and the three others who were arrested for various crimes have been spotted cleansing themselves in the sea.
In a video available to The Chronicle, the Artistes and their team members were seen reciting prayers whilst pouring the sea water on themselves.
A religious leader who spoke to www.233times.net on the basis of anonymity explained that “this is what is called spiritual bath which should be done by anyone who spends even an hour in cells or prison. It cleanses you from any impurity because the prison and cells in the spiritual realm weakens the soul so cleansing yourself in the sea water revives the soul and purifies one from the spiritual contamination that the incarceration might have caused.”
Scientists also explain that the poor hygiene condition at the prisons affect the skin of the inmates. For this reason, prisoners are advised to bath with the sea water after release since the salty sea water contains naturally occurring minerals like potassium and calcium, which can help clear up many issues with the skin and dry out acne-causing bacteria pockets while keeping your healthy skin looking vibrant. Sea salt also helps exfoliate dead skin cells off of your body.
