Tadi lady who faked kidnap gets 6 year jail term

Joana Krah, the 29 year old Takoradi woman who faked her kidnap last Friday has been handed a 6 year jail term.
She was entered on two counts, according to the Takoradi Harbour Circuit Court ‘A’ ie. publication of false news and deceiving a public officer.
The Judge mentioned that she should serve a higher sentence to serve as a deterrent to others. And for not wasting the time of the court by handing herself in, she had a reduced sentence of 8 years to 6 years.
Her child has been given to her godfather whom she faked the kidnap to in order to extort money from.
