Ghana secures 26 million vaccines – Prez. Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo has indicated the country is expected to take delivery of additional 8,529,090 doses of Covid-19 vaccines by the end of the year.

Addressing Ghanaians in his 27th Covid-19 update, President Akifo-Addo said already the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has taken delivery of 17,736,710 vaccines so far.

This would bring the total number of vaccine doses delivered to the country to over 26 million by the end of the year.

it also implies that the country would have enough vaccines for its 20 million population target to achieve herd immunity against Covid-19.

“We have enough vaccines in the system. So, my fellow Ghanaians, I encourage every one of you to take advantage of this and get vaccinated,” he said.
