Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has admitted it is difficult to answer the question of why the Black Stars failed woefully at the 2021 AFCON tournament in Cameroon.
The Black Stars, four-time title-winners of the continental showpiece, endured their worst ever campaign at the AFCON since the West Africans debuted at the competition in 1963.
In a group featuring Morocco, Gabon, and debutantes Comoros, the Black Stars finished bottom of Group C with just a point from 3 games and a deficit goal aggregate of -2.
In the midst of the general disquiet among the football community in the country, the President of the football governing body of the West African nation, has admitted that it is difficult to answer why Ghana failed to the tournament.
“It is a very easy question to ask but it is also a very difficult answer to give,” he said on Asempa FM.
The Ghanaian contingent has arrived in Accra following their abysmal showing at the tournament.
