Ghanaian Artistes abroad need support too – Jamin Beats

Ghanaian Songwriter, performer and sound engineer, Jamin Beats has called on Ghanaians to support Ghanaian Artistes domiciled abroad, citing himself as a talent that can rival other music talents across the world with the needed support. 

Speaking from his Virginia residence in USA, Jamin Beats mentioned that “most times, the support is concentrated on those who are resident in Ghana but there are other talents abroad who are doing very well.”

“With the needed support, these talents will rival other nationals. With my songs like ‘Makoma,’ ‘Long tin,’ ‘Fire,’ and other songs, tell me these songs are not of international standard and cannot compete with any song anywhere in the world” Jamin Beats quizzed.

The award-winning US-based Ghanaian who hails from Nleshi, James Town in the Greater Accra Regionfurther added that, “you cannot blame Ghanaian music lovers much, it is what they hear in the media that they mostly go with. We are using the influence of social media to drum home our statements but we need the support of the media too to make out music go far.”

Jamin Beats alternatively makes Afrobeat songs and fuses them with rap. Jamin’s biological name is Francis Odartey Lamptey is an alumnus of Adisadel College in the Cape Coast and later gained admission to the Wisconsin International University College in Accra to study Computer Science and Management.The prolific songwriter, Jamin Beats is known for songs like ‘Survivor (Breast Cancer),’ ‘Bumper,’ ‘Give Me Your Love,’ ‘Tonight,’ ‘Love You More,’ ‘Another Man,’ ‘Nana Nyame,’ amongst others
