Why I haven’t been winning awards at VGMA – King Promise opens up

There are growing concerns from fans of Singer King Promise about why he has not been winning awards at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) since he surfaced in the music industry even when it is obvious that he should win categories he has been nominated for.

In an interview on TV3 New Day which was monitored by www.233times.net, King Promise said he has been wondering himself why he does not win awards at the VGMA. “I spoke to a friend yesterday about this and she said since 2019 that I won award at the VGMA, it’s like a curse, I’ve not won any award again” King Promise said.

“Myself I wonder, but there is no issue between myself and the VGMA organizers. If there was any issue, I’m not sure they would have put me on that stage to perform. There is no issue at all” King Promise added.

He continued; “I have been getting nominations and awards out there, like the EMY awards in Nigeria and outside Africa and at home, I don’t get it so I think we should go and find out.”

King Promise is out with a new song ‘Ginger’ which is available on all digital platforms.
