Wilson Arthur appointed Chair of Radio Rights Synchronization Advisory Committee

Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee and Media magnate Wilson Arthur has been appointed as Chairman of the Radio Rights Synchronization Advisory Committee.

Other Members are, Akwasi Agyemang – Chairman of the Division One League Board and former Group CEO of Global Media Alliance and Sports Journalists Juliet Bawuah and Gary Al Smith.

The Committee is tasked to come up with recommendations and modalities regarding a central pool for the Radio Broadcast Rights of the Ghana Premier League.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is taking steps to protect the broadcast right of Radio content during live Ghana Premier League matches.

Currently, StarTimes is the official Television Broadcast partner of the Ghana Premier League, whereas the Radio Broadcast Right is available to all stations free of charge.

The synchronization when done, would help the GFA to streamline the distribution of the rights of the Premier League matches.
