Kanye West was never in Ghana for Black Star Line Festival

Viral reports that popular American rapper, Kanye West was in Ghana have turned out to be a big hoax, he was never in Ghana.

Last week’s reports claimed Kanye West also known as Ye was in Ghana to perform as a surprise act at the Black Star Line Festival on Friday night.

DJ Ebenezer Donkoh, who first shared the rumoured about Ye coming to Ghana alleged that he was slated to fly to Africa and make a special appearance at Accra’s festival organized by two of his friends and fellow Chicago natives Vic Mensa and Chance The Rapper.

“I’m gathering info that Kanye West will be the surprise act at the Black Star Line Festival in Ghana this weekend,” he tweeted on Thursday, January 5.

Many music followers who trooped to the festival at Independence Square anticipated seeing Ye on stage. However, that never happened.

He was nowhere near Ghana.
