WR NDC congratulates Armah Kofi-Buah on his appointment as Dep. Minority Leader

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western Region has congratulated the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle on his appointment as the Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament.

This comes after the NDC made changes in their leadership in parliament as Ato Forson, MP for Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam, replaces Haruna Iddrisu as Minority leader.

Mr Armah Kofi Buah, MP for Ellembelle, as the Deputy Minority Leader, who replaces Mr James Klutse Avedzi, MP, Ketu North.

Mr Governs Kwame Agbodza, MP for Adaklu, replaces Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, MP, Asawase, as the Minority Whip.

The letter, however, maintained Mr Ahmed Ibrahim and Madam Comfort Doyoe-Ghansah as the First and Second Deputy Whips, respectively.

A press release signed by the Regional Secretary, Joseph Nelson reads:

“The rank and file of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Western Region have received the news of the elevation of our hardworking member of Parliament and leader of the Parliamentary caucus in the region to the position of Deputy Minority Leader with huge excitement.

Since his giant-killing feat in 2008, when he beat the then-incumbent MP Hon. Freddy Blay, which ushered him into Parliament for the first time, has grown to become a stalwart in the region, Parliament and the political space in our dear country.

His sterling qualities of humility, respect for all, selflessness and hard work have enabled him to serve his constituents, the Western Region, Parliament and Ghana remarkably.

As a former minister for energy and later petroleum, you contributed immensely to the development of those sectors and left an indelible mark.

We in the region are not surprised that once again your qualities have shown through your work in parliament and caught the attention of party leadership at the highest level to honour you with this latest appointment. Congratulations Honourable Buah.

NDC Western Region is so very proud of you.

We wish to say a big thank you to the National Chairman Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the General Secretary, our MPs and all those who played various roles to make this happen.

It is our prayer and hopes that this appointment will spur you on to do even more for God, your party and your Country.

We wish to assure you of our fervent prayers and support in the discharge of your new responsibilities as the Deputy Minority Leader, fully convinced that you will continue to shine and make us proud.
Once again congratulations Hon.”
