A 42-year-old man has turned himself in to the police after shooting his 65-year-old brother to death in Bowohomoden, a community near Mampong in the Mpohor District of the Western Region.
At 11 a.m., while out hunting, the suspect, John Ackah, mistakenly shot his brother for an animal.
The victim, Joseph Ackah, died on the spot after he was shot and according to reports, he was carrying a sack bag that contained plantain and snails.
John reported himself immediately to the Manso Police Station and is currently in police custody, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the St. Edwards Moturary at Apemanim.
