According to him, they have established a task force and resourced themselves with noise level metres to ascertain noise levels in parts of the metropolis and if noise making is excessive in areas, they take offenders on.
He said, “The task force intermittently goes around to check out on the situation of noise in the Metropolis and when some outfit is going contrary against the bye-laws, we take action against them.”
Mr Ennin advised residents to report noise pollution to the rightful authorities. By doing that, they should gather enough evidence by recording a video of the situation and reporting to any of the STMA offices in the metropolis.
“Report any noise pollution to any of the assembly’s offices in Takoradi, Sekondi and Essikado and make the complaint known to us, we will come and pick data and use it as evidence to regulate the person,” he added.
