It’s “childish” to openly support Flagbearer hopefuls – Prof Gyampo to NPP MPs

Astute Political Scientist, Ransford Edward Van Gyampo has questioned the open support of aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopefuls by some Members of Parliament from the party.

To him, the move can either “break-up” the party in its quest to win the 2024 presidential election.

Prof Gyampo who was speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show, Ghana Montie said he is “shocked” by the MPs’ move after describing it as “childish”.

What they are doing is not right. It’s childish and amateur politics. This party is supposed to have come of age but it seems like they are not that matured.“

“This is not the tradition of the NPP, what is going wrong? They are not growing up. Even their leadership is questionable,” he told the host, Mac-Jerry Agyeman.
