Takoradi: Man arrested for allegedly abducting and sexually molesting 10yr old girl

A man believed to be in his early forties and a resident of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region has been arrested by the police for allegedly abducting and molesting a 10-year-old girl.

The victim who stays in the Anaji-Mpatado area went missing in the early hours of Friday morning, May 5, after which the parent made a report to the police.

Further information suggests that the child was seen at the Anaji residence of the suspect by a female neighbour, and knowing the suspect has no wife or child, she reported the issue to the Anaji police station.

The suspect who goes by the name Thomas was arrested following the report by the female neighbour.

The police then directed the parent to the Kwesimintsim Government Hospital for an examination of the victim upon which the result proved that the victim has been sexually molested.

The suspect is currently at the Kwesiminstim Police Station.
