Western Region: 30 Passengers injured after truck rams into passenger vehicles (Disturbing PHOTOS)

About 30 passengers were injured after a truck rammed into passenger vehicles at Beahu in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region.

The accident happened in the early hours of Friday morning, May 19, when the truck on top speed refused to stop upon a police signal at the Beahu police barrier.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to Skyy News, the truck rammed into a Sprinter bus and a saloon vehicle when it lost control after hitting a pothole.

The witness said most of the passengers were in critical condition while some sustained minor injuries.

He indicated that some of the motorists assisted by taking some of the victims to the hospital since the ambulance at the scene did not have the capacity to do so.

The witness who spoke to Skyy News said he transported about six (6) victims to the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi whiles some motorists took other victims to the Kwesimintsim Government Hospital.

He however indicated that no fatalities were recorded.
