Ken Agyapong gets No. 1 again, Bawumia No. 2 as balloting held for NPP Nov 4 Primary

Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has retained his Number 1 position on the ballot as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) goes to the polls to elect its 2024 flagbearer.

The balloting was held at the party’s headquarters in Accra on Wednesday, September 13.

Per the result, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who swept majority of the votes in the first round of polls on Saturday, August 26, picked the Number 2 position.

Former Minister of Food and Agriculture Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto picked the Number 3 position while Number 4 went to former MP for Mampong Francis Addai-Nimoh.

With the withdrawal of former Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, only four aspirants will contest the primary.
