
The deceased Teberebie Electoral Area Assembly Member, Manasseh Addison Sackey, widely known as Teacher Obour, has pulled the most votes in the just-ended District Level elections.
Mr Manasseh Addison Sackey pulled 860 votes with other candidates, Michael Dompreh pulling 637 votes and Benard Obeng getting 857 of the votes count.
Mr Addison passed away on December 5 with another individual, when they tragically drowned after a canoe they were travelling in capsized in a river at Mile 10 and a half, connecting to Aklika in the Tarkwa-Nsueam Municipality.
They were on their way to campaign when the unfortunate incident occurred.
The Western Regional Deputy Electoral Commission Director, Mr Ofori Prempeh speaking to Skyy News clarified that votes accumulated by the deceased candidate will be counted as rejected ballots.
