SONA: PTC interchange to be completed as funding goes under GoG

President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians, particularly the people in the Sekondi-Takoradi that the much talked about PTC Interchange will be completed.

The Three-tier interchange the first in the Western Region being constructed by Sino Hydro Construction has been halted since January 2023 over the IMF bailout sought by the Ghana government.

President Akufo-Addo delivering his penultimate State of the Address (SONA) to Parliament stated that funding the construction of the interchange and some other projects in the country is now under the Ghana Government and would soon be completed.

He said, “In the meantime, some of the priority projects have been transferred onto the GOG budget within the same fiscal space to ensure their completion. This will enable the Kumasi International Airport, which is some 98% complete, to be completed by May. Other projects like the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Maternity Block in Kumasi, the Takoradi Interchange.”
