WR NSS personnel to receive part of 4 months’ unpaid allowances

The National Service Personnel in the Western Region have not been paid for the past four months.

Some personnel speaking to Skyy News indicated that their salary arrears range from November 2023 to February 2024.

Service personnel indicated this issue only persists in the Western Region and they somehow do not understand why some regions have received their allowances and not them.

They are demanding answers from the secretariat regarding when their allowances will be paid.

The Western Regional Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Mr Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifa speaking on Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show the secretariat has started working on the allowances and personnel would receive an alert by the end of the day.

According to the director, NSS personnel would be paid 2 months out of their 4-month allowance arrears.

“We are working on it with my team, personnel will receive their allowance by today’s close.”
