Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has been elected as a member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee.
Serving a four-year term from 2025 to 2029, Okraku was elected unopposed, securing his place on the 24-member decision-making body of African football’s governing organization.
His appointment is a testament to his leadership in Ghanaian football since assuming office in 2019. Under his tenure, the GFA has prioritized transparency, grassroots development, and the growth of women’s and youth football.
With Ghana’s rich football history, Okraku’s position on the CAF EXCO is expected to strengthen the country’s influence in African football policymaking and contribute to the broader development of the sport across the continent.
He becomes the sixth Ghanaian to serve on the CAF Executive Committee, following in the footsteps of Ohene Djan, Kobina Hagan, Nana Fredua Mensah, Samuel Okyere, and Kwesi Nyantakyi.
