FDA and Police arrest Gospel Artiste Brother Sammy over HIV/AIDS product claims

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) with the assistance of the Ashanti Regional Police has arrested Gospel Artiste Brother Sammy who has been in the news for selling a product that heals HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases.

The FDA according to information available to www.233times.net arrested Brother Sammy in Kumasi to help in investigations into the matter.

A video of Brother Sammy circulated on social media when the Artiste made bold claims that he has been given a divine product for the healing of some chronic diseases.

Since the FDA has not approved any such product that heals HIV/AIDS and therefore as a government agency mandated by the Public Health Act 2012 (Act 851), it has the legal backing to go after the Artiste for investigation.

Again, the product that the Artiste is selling has not been tested and approved by the FDA therefore the Authority which has the mandated to regulate drugs, food, medical devices, household chemicals, tobacco and tobacco can go after the Artiste for further investigations.
