Kids pray for Nana Akufo-Addo’s victory

download (1)NANA ADDO Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s Nima residence in Accra would be turned temporarily into a prayer centre on Wednesday.

Fervent prayers would be said at his house barely 24 hours before the Supreme Court gives its verdict on the 2012 election petition.

About 80 school children, who could not get admission into senior high schools due to cash, would join the NPP top man for the religious affair.

Drawn from all corners of the country, the children are part of the over 2000 members of the Free Education Now Prayer Group (FENPG.)

The FENPG has over the years been supporting Nana Akufo-Addo with prayers to help him become Ghana’s president.

They believe that Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration would make education free so that they could also realize their ambitions.

Andy Owusu, a leading member of the group, said the 80 selected children would converge on Kumasi and head to Accra for the Wednesday’s prayer affair.

He disclosed that 10 of the children for the trip are currently fasting and praying at Atwia Mountains for Nana Akufo-Addo.

Owusu said the NPP have since the start of the court petition depended on God to help it win the landmark case.

He said the 80 children would pray with Nana Akufo-Addo for two hours starting at 4:00pm on Wednesday.

According to him, with God all things are possible so the petitioners are still banking their hopes on the Omnipotent One to help them win.

Owusu was grateful to NPP big-wigs like Dr Amoako Tuffuor, Agya Osei of Bantama, Asamoah Boateng and Nana Yaw, for making the trip possible.

The FENPG, it would be recalled, held such a prayer session with Nana Akufo- Addo at his Nima residence before the start of the election petition.
