On Saturday 29th February, 2020, Charter House, organizers of Ghana Music Awards announced the list of nominees for the 2020 edition of the awards.

Sarkodie led the nomination with 11 nominations, Medikal with 8, Kofi Kinaata with 5 amongst others.
