A leading Ghanaian construction company, Justmoh Construction Limited has donated separate cheques totalling GHC50, 000 to four hospitals in Sekondi-Takoradi.
Even though Sekondi-Takoradi has not recorded any case of coronavirus, according to the construction firm, the money is to help the 4 health facilities prepare ahead of the eventuality.
The health facilities which benefited from the benevolence of Justmoh Construction are Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Takoradi (European Hospital), Kwesimentsim and the Essikadu Government hospitals.
The Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital received GHC20,000.00 whereas Takoradi, Kwesimentsim and Essikadu received GHC10, 000 each.
“The world is in crisis. It calls for collective action. We can’t leave the fight for government, our doctors, nurses and other frontline health workers. We must support with our resources. Most health facilities have had their stock depleted. The facilities have all redirected their finances and other resources towards fighting the pandemic. And this is the perfect moment that we must come to their aid,” Financial Director of Justmoh Construction Limited, Stephen Owusu Hammond said.
“We heard their call for aid in procuring ventilators, and so we decided to make this donation of GH20,000 into that fund to support the process,” he stated.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital, Medical Director of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Dr. Joseph Tambil applauded Justmoh Construction Limited for the gesture. He said the hospital is in dire need of ventilators and that this donation from the company could not have come at any appropriate time.
