In this era where the Afrobeat genre has become synonymous with African music and most genres do not have much attention like Afrobeat, Kosa Makosa has dared to revive pan African traditional music in Ghana.
According to Kosa Makosa, “Africans, most especially Ghanaians have discarded their roots in music by concentrating more on highlife and pay less or better yet no attention to the tradition music which is our own.”
“We need variety in our music industry and one of the genres that we should not do away with is the pan African music. l have always loved pan African music since l was young and any time l hear pan African music, my soul comes alive so l chose to do it not for money but for the strong passion for it.”
“l have been creating pan Africa music for the past twelve years. l create the songs myself; I blend local instruments such as percussion flute and cowbell jinbei trumpets” Kosa Makosa revealed.
Kosa Makosa performed at the 2019 Presidential Globe African Heroes Awards.
Kosa Makosa has a couple of yet to be released songs which he plans to feature Kofi Kinaata and Sarkodie in some of the songs on his album.
