Mrs Theresa Ayoade, the CEO of Charter House, organizers of the biggest awards in Ghana has mentioned that the 2020 edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) will be organized in August this year.
This decision according to Mrs. Ayoade was a result of the lifting of social gathering restriction by President Akufo-Addo last week Sunday.
“The challenges of putting together logistics and not being sure of expected revenue is a real issue. In normal times, we will have been able to sell up to 4,000 tickets in VGMA related events, but it is not so now” she said.
The organizer of the 21 year old awards said that the August edition will have some audience with the appropriate social distancing protocols in line with Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture’s directive.
“It may not be exactly as it used to be in the past but obviously with what is happening now, it’s going to be a downscale version,” she added.
