Takoradi Constituency NPP Primaries: Western Regional Minister Kobby Okyere Darko-Mensah retained

Hon. Dr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Western Regional Minister and incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Takoradi Constituency has been retained as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Candidate for Takoradi Constituency.

A provisional results from the coalition center has it that the Minister won with 341 votes representing 63.7% out of a total votes cast of 537 as against his contender Jane Edna Nyame who had 196 votes representing 36.49% of the total votes.

Hon. Okyere Darko-Mensah has been MP for the Takoradi Constituency since January 2009.
