The international central gospel church, ICGC has announced it would continue with it’s Sunday virtual service on television inspite of the further relaxation of COVID-19 Protocols for places of worship.
The General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Mensa Otabil declared this during Sunday’s virtual service on TV3. According to him, some selected local assemblies across Ghana will start in-person service beginning August 16, 2020, however that according to him, would be done alongside the virtual one on television, adding it would be optional for members to choose between the In-Person and the virtual one.
Pastor Mensa Otabil also declared all in-person service must not go beyond one hour fifteen minutes though the government has increase the duration to two hours for all religious activities.
Mensa Otabil who has consistently been insisting this is not the time to open churches says the one hour fifteen minutes duration for the in-person service is a caution the church is taking to guard against COVID-19 spread.
