
The President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of Ghana’s armed forces, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will begin a two-day working visit to the Western Region to enable him to engage with traditional rulers and cut sod for some developmental projects.
As part of his first day (Tuesday 18th August) in the Western Region, he would inspect the ongoing construction of the following roads; Ankyernyin-Egyam road, Esiama-Nkroful road, Gwira Aiyinase-Wiawso road and also launch the Gwira Community Mining.
On his second day, Wednesday 19th August, the President would be hosted live on Skyy Power FM’s ‘Jolly Breakfast Show.’ From there, he would move to Shama to cut sod for a 100 bed capacity district hospital. The President would then also move to Asakae to cut sod for IRECOP/Zoomlion solid waste recycling plant.
The President as part of his visit would also meet the Western Regional House of Chiefs, visit the Essiam bypass and the Railway Training School. The President would end his tour with the sod cutting for Takoradi Market Circle reconstruction and the cutting of sod for GNPC Operational Headquarters.
From the Western Region, the President would also tour the Central Region.
