Takoradi Constituency: Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah retains seat

Hon. Dr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, Western Regional Minister and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Takoradi Constituency has retained his seat.
He dazed National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Lawyer Faidoo Frederick Faustinus Faidoo in the parliamentary contest.
Hon. Kobby as he is popularly called garnered 25,480 whilst Lawyer Faidoo secured 11,886 whereas Mr Peter Oswald Essien of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) secured 118 votes.
Total votes cast was 37,881 with 37,530 and 351 rejected.
