J.J. Rawlings to be buried January 27

A January 27, 2021 date has been set for the burial of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings.

This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in a letter dated January 8, 2021.

The letter was addressed to all diplomatic missions in Ghana.

Mr Rawlings was initially expected to be buried on December 23, 2020 but that could not happen due to some family issues.

He passed away at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on Thursday November 12, 2020 as earlier announced by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
