Focus 1 Media pays courtesy call on EKMA MCE following death of Coordinating Director

Management of Focus 1 Media on 8th April paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive of Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA), Hon Kojo Acquah, following the recent demise of  Mr. Samuel Andoh Owusu, Municipal Coordinating director.

The visit was to sympathize with the Assembly for their loss and reassuring the Assembly of the group’s support in this challenging moment as stakeholders in the development of the Municipality.

The team was led by the Chief Executive Officer of Focus 1 Media, Mr. Kwame Adu-Mante, his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Adu-Mante and Kojo Amoako Nzoley, General Manager of Focus 1 Media.

Receiving the delegation, the MCE, Hon Kojo Acquah thanked Focus 1 Media for the visit and expressed his gratitude to the group.

“You are the first media station to visit us since the incident happened, we are grateful and we appreciate this kind gesture”

The MCE further expressed sorrow over the death of Mr. Samuel Owusu. According to him, he could not fathom how a mere stomach pain which he seemed to be getting over, especially when the MCE paid him a visit at Effia Nkwanta had deteriorated to the point where Mr. Owusu had to lose his life.

Sharing his fondest memory of the late Coordinating Director of the Assembly, Hon Kojo Aquah described Mr. Samuel Owusu as excellent in his work which made them have a wonderful working relationship.

“He excellently executed his duties as Secretary to the assembly. He was very respectful to me therefore we had a very good working relationship. He played his role diligently,” the MCE said.

Speaking in response, Mr. Kwame Adu-Mante expressed shock over the death of Mr. Samuel Andoh Owusu and assured the Assembly of the group’s support.

“We are equally saddened by the sudden death of Mr. Samuel Andoh Owusu, we are using this opportunity today to pay our respect as a group, we pray for God’s strength for you in this period as you continue to lead this noble organization in these trying times. I assure the assembly that we remain development partners to the Assembly therefore, Focus 1 Media will always be willing to support the Assembly in all its endeavors.
